NCeed Management

Noreen Cherry
Noreen CherryNoreen Cherry founded NCeed Enterprises, Inc., a WBE certified woman-owned business and a value-added reseller of industrial additives to metalworking chemicals, lubricants, and industrial greases. The company's focus is application solutions using intermediate chemistry, experience and expertise in the industry.

Educated and trained as a chemist, Cherry is a hands-on, at-your-side collaborator in solving problems in lubrication or just plain old sourcing. She is as comfortable in the lab or on the shop floor as she is in the executive suite, explaining cost-effective solutions to the operations and purchasing decision makers. She earned her stripes in various assignments in technical work, R&D, and sales and marketing for such companies as Exxon, Stepan, American Hoechst, and Lever.

Cherry is currently on the national board of directors for the Society of Tribologists and Lubricating Engineers (STLE), where she is responsible for growing the Industrial Members group. She is a former regional vice president of the STLE and former chair of the New York chapter, and remains a director and advisor for the latter.

She has spoken at conferences for the National Lubricating Grease Institute (NLGI) and at STLE meetings at both the national and chapter levels. Her work experience and versatility make her an asset to her customers. Since she is not a "catalog salesperson," her technical knowledge and sourcing capabilities come together for the mutual benefit of all parties, and she capitalizes on her versatility and experience in applying them in the industrial markets.

Cherry is a 1999 graduate of the New Jersey Economic Development Authority's Entrepreneurial Training Institute (ETI), which is designed to assist in the launch and development of small businesses, especially those owned by minorities and women. She believes strongly in giving back and is a volunteer mentor facilitator with ETI classes.
